A broad spectrum bolus dewormer against gastrointestinal and lung worms
Composition
Each bolus contains:
Levamisole Hydrochloride BP 600mg
Excipient q.s.
Indications
It is highly effective against the common adult gastrointestinal nematodes and lung worms and many larval stages in cattle, sheep, pigs and goats. A single dose eliminates almost all gastrointestinal worms. It is especially useful in treating lung worms.
Target Animal Species
Cattle, Camel, Sheep, Goat
Administration and dosage:
Orally using a balling gun or crushed and given in drinking water or feed.
7.5mg of levawright double strength per body weight as a single dose i.e 40kg(1/2 bolus); 80kg(1 bolus); 160kg(2 boli)……
Side effects: Overdose may result in Nervous symptoms, salivation, restlessness which are transient in nature.
Antidote: Atropine sulphate
Withdrawal period:
Meat – 3 days
Milk – None
